Pam Zigler, Math Coach
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a focus on Math and Computer Science, complemented by differentiated instruction from Harvard and gifted education courses from the University of Missouri - Columbia. My education is further enriched by my understanding of Multiple Intelligences in students. Additionally, I have a minor in music, specializing in the oboe.
I began my teaching career with Williamson County Public Schools in 1993 teaching in first, second, and fourth grades, and subsequentially, served as a math coach for six years. Before joining Williamson County, I spent two years teaching in ungraded primary classrooms for children from the ages 6 to 9.
My husband and I have been married for 43 years. I am a mother to two daughters, and a grandmother to two grandchildren. I believe in Jesus, who is my personal Savior. I participate actively in the choir, the greeting team, and the Women's Bible study at Grace Chapel in Leiper's Fork. Additionally, within the Nashville community, I am a musician and play the English Horn and Oboe for the Nashville Philharmonic.
In 2022, our school was honored with the National Blue Ribbon Award for the significant growth and high achievement in our math scores. I have been honored with the Teacher of the Year award twice, first as a teacher, and again, as a math coach.
Additionally, I lead the Math Olympiad team competition for fourth and fifth graders, which consistently ranked in the top 10% in the world over the past six years.
